How to extract Images out of a Word Document


Step 1

Open up the Word document that contains the images you want to extract from.

Step 2

Click on save as

Step 3

In the dropdown box, scroll down and select web page.html as your format you want to save the file as.

Step 4

Now you have saved your document as an .htm/.html format, go to the folder location you selected to save this data when it exported.


Step 5

Notice there is a folder named for your file name_files, click it.

Step 6

In this diagram, it shows the explorer folder structure where you just saved your files to.


Step 7

Now in the folder, you can see all of the image files as well as the html mark up files. The images are extracted from the Word document and are ready to be used.
